Privacy
Privacy Policy.
The short version: FedJobAlert only collects what it needs to match you to federal postings, does not sell your data, does not track you, and deletes everything on request.
Last updated August 16, 2026
What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address and the authentication method you chose (email and password, or Google).
Your matching profile — keywords, occupational series, locations, GS grade range and agency preference — along with your saved postings, notes and alert history.
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe Checkout. We never see or store your card details; Stripe returns only the subscription status we use to enable your plan.
How your data is used
Your profile runs the USAJobs.gov matching search that powers your matched feed and alerts. That is the only automated use of your data.
Your email is used for your account and for direct support correspondence when you contact us. We do not send marketing email, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Where it is stored
Account authentication and your profile data are stored in Supabase (Postgres) behind per-user access controls. The application itself is served by Cloudflare.
Third parties with access to your data: Supabase (hosting and authentication), Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (content delivery). Each acts as a data processor for us and is bound by its own security commitments.
Cookies
The site sets a single authentication session cookie so you stay signed in. There is no advertising, analytics or tracking on FedJobAlert.
USAJobs.gov and Stripe may set their own cookies when you follow a posting link or enter Checkout; those are governed by their policies.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can stop using the service at any time and write to us to delete your account and all associated data — profile, bookmarks, notes and alerts are removed.
If you cancel a paid subscription, your data remains intact and the plan simply reverts to free until you choose otherwise.
Children
FedJobAlert is a job-search tool for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after that counts as acceptance.
